Inspired by Walshy Fire's sweet talking over his Maliboom Boom radio exclusive, we went looking for some video from the era which inspired Walshy's mixing style. Here's some rare VHS-to-Youtube footage of Stone Love live in session 1989, with some really impressive dressers to be seen.
Strikingly - to those of us who were not in attendance - the rather formal dress code is somewhat subjugated to creativity. Dressing up pretty is open to interpretation (red cat suit, we love you). Unless we're looking at the fellas, the basic idea of nightclub fashion has changed a lot since - depending on who you're asking.
Is is because we've come to consider night spots our living room, or is it just that running shoes are that much more comfortable? Help us out in the comments!
