A Friday mix: Summerrain

6 Aug, 2010 15:08

You may have fresh ice around, but you can only go so deep into a drink menu without some good lime.

As a rule fo thumb, if the lime doesn't go well with water, it probably won't be doing your drink any favours. Once a lime has been cut open, try and maintain its natural juices by keeping it in a glass of water in the fridge. You may want to figure out some other means of using it within three days. That's plenty of time to cook up some sautéed aspargus or puddin' and souse! After dinner, cut another fresh lime open, and enjoy this drink on the patio.

Malibu Summerrain

2 parts Malibu

1 part Absolut Vodka

Fill a glass with cubed ice, start out with Malibu, then Vodka. Garnish with a slice lime.

The Malibu drink recipe is availabe along with the others, from under Drinks.
